Colorado - Obama has slipped significantly in Colorado. After enjoying at four point lead throughout much of the summer, his lead has slipped to one, and McCain has lead in several polls. Just as Obama is, McCain is making an effort to spend money and time in the state. Although we feel it will ultimately lean democrat, there's still a decent chance for McCain to seize this state.
LEANING DEMOCRAT

Michigan - Another state that McCain has made significant gains in. Obama enjoyed 15 straight polls that showed him ahead, spanning June 9 to September 10, however, in the latest poll McCain leads by one. It must not be discounted that Michigan, at the state level, in under democratic leadership and the state has one of the worst economies in the nation. However, Obama still has a two point lead in the RealClearPolitics average. McCain has dumped a considerable amount of money into the wolverine state, but it might not be enough to take down Obama.
LEANING DEMOCRAT

Nevada - While Obama might be slipping in several states, there is one state that McCain is slipping in, Nevada. The Maverick lead by as much as seven before two polls showing Obama were released. The latest gives McCain a one point edge, but Obama has made great gains in the Silver State.
LEANING REPUBLICAN

Ohio - The Buckeye state has been back-and-forth, but it's been leaning more towards McCain than Obama. In the last ten polls McCain's largest lead is seven, Obama's is five, four polls have gone Obama's way, five McCain's way, and one was a tie. The state is still up for grabs but McCain gets an advantage for announcing his VP pick there.
LEANING REPUBLICAN

Virginia - What seemed to be a complete toss-up a month ago has turned into a decent lead for McCain. Polls were statistically tied for much of August, but after the convention McCain has lead in all three polls by an average of 2.6, the latest showing him with a four point lead.
LEANING REPUBLICAN

Florida -  The Sunshine State is always a player in elections, however it has turned in McCain's favor lately. McCain has lead in 10 out of the last 12 polls, the only poll Obama lead in he had a one point lead. The post convention polls show McCain with a seven and eight point lead.
